Title: Managing Age Discrimination: An Examination of the Techniques Used when Seeking Employment.
Purpose: This article examines the age-related management techniques used by older workers in their search for employment. Design and Methods: Data are drawn from interviews with individuals aged 45-65 years (N = 30).
Problem: Findings indicate that participants develop "counteractions" and "concealments" to manage perceived age discrimination. Individuals counteract employers' ageist stereotypes by maintaining their skills and changing their work-related expectations and conceal age by altering their resumes, physical appearance, and language used.
Method: quantitative.

Title: Discrimination in Legal Practice: An Examination of Policies Impacting on Educational Opportunities for Women.
Purpose: This research aims to extend the traditional cultural divide between male and female lawyers by examining contradictory workplace policies that discriminate against the work and education of female auxiliary workers within general legal practice in Australia.
Problem: Whilst one prohibits and represses any discrimination against women, the other does not provide educational opportunities for employees, predominantly women, at the auxiliary level of employment. As a result female auxiliary workers are marginalized and their career prospects are diminished.
Method: quantitative and qualitative.
